Ghostbusters: 11 Things That Must Happen In The Sequel
4. A Sensible Male Character
There's been a lot of chatter since Ghostbusters came out that it's a sexist film against men, with a prime complaint being that it doesn't feature any significant, sensible male characters.
While this may be true, it is worth remembering that the women don't come across as much less goofy themselves, even if they do at least have the wherewithal to save the day in the end. It is absolutely not sexist against men.
Even so, it would be nice to see things balanced out a little, as even many critics who praised the film conceded that this was a weak point, and could so easily be remedied.
Whether this is the creation of a new character or one of the pre-existing males actually doing something sensible to help out (the former would feel more natural), Ghostbusters 2 needs a guy pitching in to help out...somehow.
