Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Review - 4 Ups & 6 Downs

1. It's The Worst Ghostbusters Movie

There's no pleasure at all in saying this, but Frozen Empire is indeed the worst of the five Ghostbusters movies to date.

Granted, the first is really the only truly great one, but Ghostbusters 2 was fun enough, the 2016 reboot at least tried to do something different, and Afterlife just about got away with mining that trusty well of nostalgia-bait.

There's little meat on the bones of the latest sequel, though, which feels so devoid of even basically creative ideas that it suggests the IP is probably better off going on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

Beyond the most die-hard fans of the franchise, it's tough to picture many willingly revisiting this one, which is likely to evaporate from the collective cultural consciousness within a matter of weeks.

These many gripes accepted, though, the movie has a few upsides. And so, here's what Frozen Empire actually gets right...
