Ghostbusters Reboot: 29 Easter Eggs, References & In-Jokes

It goes without saying that the Firehouse - Hook and Ladder 8 Firehouse to be specific - appears, but the Ghostbusters can't actually afford to rent it. They're quoted $2100 a month - perhaps a tongue-in-cheek nod to the fact that the originals would never have been able to afford such prime real estate without wages.

The realtor who shows them around the Firehouse is actually writer Kate Dippold.

They end up instead moving into the space above a Chinese restaurant, which is actually based - in design on the Firehouse.

There's also a reason they choose Chinatown as their initial alternate base. Remember this from the originals...?

Hopefully that was intended, rather than it being simply further opportunity for Wanton soup based jokes.
