Winston Zedmore - Lamorne Morris
Weve racked our brains over who would be the best choice to play the non scientist of the group, the man whos seen shit that would turn him white, Winston Zedmore. Our first choice was Eddie Murphy, the man alleged to have been considered for the original role back in 1984, but you have to question whether he would a) be interested to return to the role he never got and b) be able to tone down his MASSIVE personality enough to play a character many consider to not be a main role. A role in a Ghostbusters remake would be enough to relaunch his dead in the water carear though, but its too big a jump to think hed sign up. With that in mind our brain then jumped to Lamorne Morris, the hilarious chap from the hit TV series New Girl. His ego has not yet grown to Murphy sized proportions and would give him his breakout movie role. Someone call Mr Morris agent. We need to talk.
Dana Barrett - Tea Leoni
When casting a role like Dana you have some pretty big lady shoes to fill. She has to be sexy, smart, tough, independent and vulnerable all at the same time. The perfect choice in our eyes? Tea Leoni. She has all of the credentials we've listed and is an established veteran more than capable of mixing it up with Robert Downey Jr's Peter Venkman. She is as believable as a strong willed carear woman as she is as a vulnerable single woman scared of the ghouls that live in her fridge. And why wouldn't she fall for Venkman? He's funny, good looking and utterly charming. And we're pretty confident she'd look sexy floating above a bed growling about the Key Master too - Hubba Hubba.
