McCarthy's character points out that "There's sightings all over the city ... there are people out there who need our help." And here's one of those sightings, involving future team-member Patty Tolan (played by Leslie Jones), a subway worker who gets involved in the plot seemingly by accident - a ghost eerily floats towards her, taking her completely by surprise.

As if to hammer home the ghost epidemic, we get this shot of a ghost Great Gatsby party. Although the editing is trying to point towards this being what Patty's discovered, this shot actually appears to come from a completely different scene - the background is clearly from a house, not a train-track. Maybe it's actually the ghosts of an real 1920s shin-dig.
