And so, with the first comedic beat out of the way, we get an introduction to this advanced Ghostbusters world. First up is the team's lab, which looks like something Egon himself could have put together.

A lot of the tech is very reminiscent of what we saw in the 80's movies, with analog consoles and wires instead of modern computers. Is older tech what's most effective against ghosts? Or is it just a contrived way to evoke the style of the original film? Your call.

Of course, the tech could be old fashioned simply because the trio have been at it so long; these three are clearly already elbow-deep into the paranormal slime (in Erin's case literally), with Abby saying "We have dedicated our whole lives to studying the paranormal." Were they inspired by the actions of the original Ghostbusters? Quite possibly.
