Glass: 16 WTF Moments

8. Dr. Staple Tries To Gaslight The Supers

Dr. Staple spends most of the movie trying to convince David, Kevin and Elijah that their superpowers are delusions, and though we as the audience don't quite realise why yet, we know there's something fishy about it.

The problem with this wildly expository part of the movie is that the audience knows that these men are indeed supers, so trying to gaslight both the characters and the audience with ham-handed "realistic" explanations for their abilities just feels like a huge waste of time.

Shyamalan unnecessarily tries to create uncertainty where there is none, and the result is a giant ball of hot air, bloating the movie out to an unnecessary 129 minutes.
