9. Mr. Glass Does Nothing For The First Hour

One of the biggest surprises in the movie is that Mr. Glass actually spends the entire first act of the film off-screen, and even then, he doesn't actually rouse himself from his faux-catatonic state until just past the half-way point.

Thankfully Samuel L. Jackson gives a lively and energetic performance from that point on, but considering that the movie's named after his character and all, it's pretty bizarre just how much of it nudges him to the sidelines.

It's all in the services of Glass' ultimate plan, of course, but even so, fans were surely expecting a little more SLJ for their buck.
