Godzilla vs. Megalon is one of the silliest and dumbest films in the series, so it makes perfect sense that one of the most gloriously rousing WTF moments comes from this film. When the underwater civilization of Seatopia gets tired of dealing with our messes, they send the monster Megalon to teach us a lesson. Gigan shows up to help as well, and it is up to Godzilla and the robot Jet Jaguar to fight back against the two. This leads to an entertaining tag team battle which peaks towards the end when, with Jet Jaguar holding Megalon back, Godzilla jumps into the air and dropkicks him not once but twice! This is another moment that has become popular through social osmosis. Chances are you've seen this moment at some point, especially thanks to MST3K. This is such a huge WTF moment that it doesn't matter if you are seeing it within context of the movie or not. Everything comes together to create a moment so over the top and silly looking that it defies comprehension, not to mention physics. Unlike a lot of WTF moments in Godzilla's career, this moment doesn't come out of nowhere so much as become the peak moment of an already strange and over the top movie. It's not that you don't expect it; it's that you can't believe the film is reaching such heights of absurdity.
