There are two fairly decent shots of the titular monster - and it's safe to say it looks to be the biggest yet. It is absolutely MASSIVE, so it's hardly any wonder that there is such an enormous trail of destruction in its wake - especially given that we're led to believe, from the marketing campaign, that he's not alone. In terms of its physical characteristics and attributes, it seems to resemble the 1998 American version of the character (which we shall never speak of again), which makes sense given that this is another American production. Godzilla looks to be lizard-like, with dinosaur-style spines (reminiscent of, say, a Stegosaur) on his back. It's pretty much as you would expect him to look like and it is fantastic. It's a great trailer (as trailers go, anyway) and it's superb that we got to see the monster. So there you have it - six things we learned from the first Godzilla teaser trailer. What else did you learn from it? Are you looking forward to this movie? Feel free to let us know in the comments box below the article. Legendary Pictures have described this movie as follows; "An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence". And although we don't see any of those other "malevolent" creatures in this first trailer, we certainly see enough to indicate that this is going to be epic. Godzilla, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen and Ken Watanabe, is scheduled for release on May the 16th of 2014 in both 2D and 3D.
