Godzilla: King Of The Monsters - What Does The Ending Really Mean?

3. The Titans Are Finding A New Home

Much like previous MonsterVerse installments, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters utilised its credits to paint a picture of the aftermath of the all-out Titans war as newspaper headlines revealed what the creatures in question got up to following Ghidorah's reign of terror.

According to those headlines, none of the monsters continued their vicious assaults on mankind and, under Godzilla's tutelage, they all became benevolent creatures that would allow humanity to carry on without anymore interference from them.

However, while it was revealed that Rodan returned to the volcanic mountain-top from which he came, we also discovered that some of the monsters were migrating to Skull Island. Thus, it seems like Kong is going to have some company very soon and, in all likelihood, he won't be thrilled about the idea.

Could this be what leads to his showdown with Godzilla instead? Is that collision going to take place on Skull Island? Perhaps most importantly: Is it 2020 yet?
