Godzilla Vs. Kong Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Junkie XL's Killer Musical Score

Godzilla vs Kong
Warner Bros.

Mere weeks after Junkie XL delivered a terrific musical score for Zack Snyder's Justice League, he's back with a marvelously energetic and intense score for Godzilla vs. Kong.

The style won't be surprising to anyone familiar with the composer's work - it's heavy on banging drums and epic orchestras - but it manages to incorporate classic Godzilla themes into the soundscape while also forging ahead on its own.

Godzilla and King both end up with their own distinctive motifs, while Junkie XL's work compliments the chaotic and calmer scenes equally well.

There's a reason he's one of the most in-demand composers working today, and his sensibilities are perfect for a project of this magnitude.
