Golden Globes 2017: 7 Ups & 6 Downs

3. The Opening Musical (Barb Is Still Alive!)

Golden Globes 2017 Stranger Things Barb Alive
NBC

The show opened with a big, splashy musical number that riffed on La La Land's opening Another Day of Sun, as well as paying homage to almost all of the year's nominated movies and shows.

There were a few highlights, such as Kit Harington riffing on Jon Snow's resurrection, Rami Malek hacking Fallon's hard-drive, and Justin Timberlake, who appeared to lift Fallon up to the stars. The best moment, though, was undoubtedly the Stranger Things kids, who turned up to perform a rap and then, gloriously, confirm that Barb is still alive - followed by the character herself rising out of the water, accompanied by a synchronised swimming performance.
