Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Glaring Flaws Everybody Just Ignored

10. The Villain Is Super Dull

Marvel have a real problem with villains: no matter how hard they try, they can't seem to render a bad guy with any actual personality, and Ronan the Accuser - played here by Lee Pace - joins the likes of Sebastian Stan's Winter Solider and Christopher Eccleston's Malekith in a long line of dull, forgettable MCU villains. Seriously: what will it take for the studio to realise that it takes more than a deep voice to make a villain? So Ronan the Accuser is obviously "bad," and that's about it. You know he's bad because he does all the generic bad guy things that bad guys do in movies: talks down to his subordinates; monologues when he should be concentrating on other things; stomps around with the world on his shoulders for the sum of the film. Problem is, he just feels like a plot device; we don't really "know" him. He just fills up the space.
