Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Potential Roles For Nathan Fillion
10. Cosmo
Cosmo the Space Dog was first introduced in the pages of Nova as the security chief on Knowhere, a cosmic way-station that serves as the Guardians headquarters. Knowhere is likely to play a role in the film at some point, and would make for a unique visual as it is lodged inside the head of a dead Celestial basically the cosmic gods of the Marvel Universe. Cosmo is a Russian dog with telepathic and telekinetic abilities who lives on Knowhere, and is considered to have been the first dog in space. He played a large role in a number of Marvel's cosmic series, and his humorous encounters with the Guardians left a lasting impression on readers. While this isn't the first role we'd like to see Fillion take over, it would make for an interesting cameo that fans certainly wouldn't see coming. Cosmo's particular brand of humor would actually fall in line with Fillion's own, and would match up well when paired with Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon. However, it isn't necessarily a big enough cameo for the after-credits scene, so while this might be fun to see, it might not be that likely. Unless it's another humorous clip that isn't intended to set too much up, similar to the Iron Man 3 after-credits scene that featured Tony Stark and Bruce Banner.
