Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Potential Roles For Nathan Fillion

9. Jack Flag

Jack Harrison AKA Jack Flag is another human member of the Guardians, and serves alongside his friend Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord. Flag started his career as a superhero on Earth with ties to Captain America. However, following the Civil War and the Superhuman Registration Act, Flag was arrested by the Thunderbolts and thrown into 42, a prison located in the Negative Zone. There Flag met Quill, who was also a prisoner there, and together they fought for their freedom. Jack decided to join with the Guardians, despite his well-documented hate of "cosmic stuff," and played an important role in a few cosmic encounters over the last few years. Fillion would fit the role of Jack Flag well, and would actually make for a very interesting connection in the MCU, with Flag's past connections to Captain America, although they would be hard to fit into the current timeline. With rumors swirling of a possible sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy already in the works, it would make sense that they would be interested in expanding the team, and another human on the ranks, especially one played by Fillion, would certainly draw in viewers.
