Guardians Of The Galaxy: 10 Potential Roles For Nathan Fillion
7. Adam Warlock
The being known as Him, who eventually adopts the name of Adam Warlock, first appeared in Fantastic Four #66 and was originally considered a kind of galactic Jesus Christ, a theme that was further explored over the character's 40-year history. Warlock served as a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy up until their most recent iteration, and has been a member of a few other teams that could factor pretty heavily into the unfolding story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including a team known as the Infinity Watch, with other members of the Guardians. Warlock's inclusion into a Guardians of the Galaxy film or sequel is something I have been expecting to see for a while, especially considering his relationship with Thanos, who is slated to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy and presumably Avengers 3. Fillion could certainly make the role his own, which would offer him a unique opportunity with a unique character. Because with Adam Warlock, you get two sides of the coin; Warlock, and his evil counterpart known as the Magus, who has plagued the Marvel universe and the Guardians of the Galaxy many times over the years. That would definitely make for one hell of an after-credits scene.
