6. Arcturus Rann

Rann might be a name that isn't on too many comic book fans minds these days. Never considered an overly popular character, Rann and his team represent a unique portion of the Marvel universe which is sometimes considered as a part of the Cosmic line of comics. Rann and his team (previously known as the Micronauts) exist in the Microverse, another universe existing below the sub-atomic level of the macroverse (which is everything else). Rann, born of royalty on Homeworld, embarked on a quest across the Microverse, where he encountered and in turn was altered by the Enigma Force. The Enigma Force is more commonly known as the Uni-Power, which grants various individuals the powers of Captain Universe. Nathan Fillion as Arcturus Rann is almost a match made in heaven, which any fan of his role as Captain Mal Reynolds on Firefly and Serenity could attest to. Once again he would fill the shoes of the renegade adventurer, complete with a unique crew of characters and an unexplored universe to bring to the big screen. Unfortunately, making the Microverse fit into the 'realistic' world of the MCU might be expecting a bit too much from the studio, so this potentially amazing casting might not happen. But it would be pretty shiny if it did.
