5. Rocket's Origin And Wife Lylla

Though we probably won't see her in the film, there's a hidden Easter Egg in Rocket's rap sheet pointing towards his wife and soulmate, Lylla. Lylla is a sentient otter and the heiress to the largest toymaking empire on the planet Halfworld, called Mayhem Mekaniks. This is where the comics start getting a little wacky, which is why we probably won't be seeing any of it in the movie. Marvel's already got a full plate on their hands, trying to balance out the strange elements of this film to make them sellable to casual moviegoers. But in Rocket's rap sheet, there are hints at his seemingly nonsensical origin story. He's described as a "cybernetic/genetic experiment" from "Halfworld, Keystone Quadrent." In Rocket's origin, mentally unstable humans were moved to the Keystone Quadrent for medical attention. To help with their recovery, cute animals were given human-level intelligence to care for them. Llyla was one of those experiments too, and so was a walrus named... wait for it, Wal Russ.
