4. Groot

Groot is arguably the second most anticipated member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but we still can't see him being particularly popular after the film's release. Aside from the unique nature of his species (he's essentially a highly durable, very strong living tree), he's pretty damn boring. In the comic books, he only ever says three words - "I am Groot" - and, although we didn't hear him speak in the trailer, we can only assume that's going to be the case in the movie. Vin Diesel will voice and provide motion capture for the character, but that probably won't save him. Groot will probably be universally liked in a "yeah, he was all right" kind of way, but he's unlikely to be anyone's favourite character. As Rocket Raccoon's "muscle", he'll probably just punch things and make the odd relatable facial expression, but he isn't going to be the most memorable thing about the movie by a long shot.
