Guardians Of The Galaxy Trailer: 5 Things We Learned

1. The Action Looks Incredible

If anyone doubted James Gunn's ability to make an action packed comic book movie; they're biting their tongues now. The action in this movie looks insane, and it's a shame that we're only given a brief montage of what to expect from the fight and aerial battle scenes. What we do see, however, is enough to leave us begging for more, which is definitely a good thing. With characters like Gamora (the dangerous assassin wanted for over a dozen counts of murder) and Drax (who's been "rampaging" through the galaxy on a quest for vengeance against the film's villain, Ronan) on the team, we're sure to see a ton of incredible fight scenes, and saw a few great shots of the two of them taking out some alien bad guys. Star-Lord also appears to be an ace pilot, flying his ship The Milano, into what appears to be an explosive aerial battle over the planet Xandar (the homeworld of the Nova Corps).
Marvel has been upping the ante with their action set pieces from film to film, and will need to continue to do so in order to keep their audiences happy. Captain America: The Winter Soldier appears to be topping the big action pieces in Iron Man 3 and The Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy has the chance to blow our minds with incredible intergalactic mayhem. Sure, it's not the most important thing in a film like this, but it certainly makes for a fun time at the movies. Tell us, what did you think of the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer? Did it help raise your excitement for the film, or were you left underwhelmed by it?
