Guardians Of The Galaxy 2: 9 Big Implications Of Star-Lord's Father Reveal

5. Hulk And Thor Turn Heads Around The Galaxy

If the Kree are coming to the MCU in a big way, then Marvel need a new way to draw their attention back to Earth. In the comics, it is the Fantastic Four's awakening of Sentry that makes the Kree aware that humans are advanced enough to be considered a possible threat to their empire. They duly send Mar-Vell to spy on humanity to make that assessment. Obviously, the Fantastic Four are (currently) out of bounds, thanks to Fox still owning the rights, and Sentry is nowhere to be seen (he might be too much for mainstream fans, unfortunately), but Marvel have just confirmed that Earth's biggest walking timebomb is going to space. With Hulk joining Thor among the stars, Marvel could use his presence and perceived threat to draw the Kree back to Earth after Mar-Vell's first trip in the '80s when he spent some conjugal time with Meredith Quill. It isn't entirely out of the question that Sentry would appear though - especially with DC releasing Shazam! and the notorious rivalry between the two companies - but it makes more sense that it would be Hulk who inspires the Kree exploration of Earth.
