4. The Answer To How Star-Lord Didn't Die

Guardians Of The Galaxy's final message that the power of love could defeat incredibly powerful nuclear space weapons was a nice one if you're some kind of hippy, but it did require a pretty big suspension of belief. As was established in the same film, only beings of immense power could wield the Stones, and yet Peter Quill and the surviving Guardians managed it by simply holding hands and being defiant. With the revelation that Quill is actually part Kree, that might address the plot-hole somewhat. Kree are a lot stronger than humans naturally, but Mar-Vell is an extra level up: he's a bio-engineered superhero after all, so his genetic material could be the answer to why Quill wasn't turned into Power Stone toast.
