Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Star Wants Giant Groot

Big is beautiful.

Vin Diesel has been on the publicity circuit for The Last Witch Hunter in the UK this week, and he's spoken to IGN about two upcoming Marvel properties in intriguingly vague fashion. First he teased the fact that he might be playing Black Bolt in 2019's Inhumans, and then he spoke about what he wants for his character Groot in the Guardians of The Galaxy sequel. And in contrast to the achingly cute tiny version of the tree-like alien that stole the end of the first movie, Diesel wants to go a lot bigger; "I've talked to James Gunn about that. I can't give it away but I would love to see gigantic Groot" How gigantic? There's really no limit for the actor, who seemingly wants to see the Guardians come to Earth for their second outing:
"I'd love to throw him into a forest and see how much mass that he consumes after devouring all the trees. Imagine throwing him into Central Park in New York City. I just want to see Giant Groot."
The sequel - which lands in May 2017 - is in pre-production, with suggestions that it will further explore the Infinity Stone storyline, as well as picking away at the mystery of who Peter Quill's father is. Are you excited for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2? Follow all of our content here.
