Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special: 10 Songs It Must Include

9. Thank God It's Christmas - Queen

It might not be one of Queen's most loved songs with it peaking at number 21 in the UK Charts, but "Thank God It's Christmas" is still a classic Christmas single.

Written by lead Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, the song was not originally released on any Queen studio album. The festive tune was however released on Queen's Greatest Hits III in 1999.

This might cause some complications for Star-Lord as his Earth music only really goes up to 1988, since this was the year he was taken from Earth by Yondu's Ravager Clan. However, because the song was originally recorded back in 1984, this shouldn't be too much of a headache to navigate.

Writer and director James Gunn has not shied away from incorporating some of Britain's most loved bands in his intergalactic movies. The directed included several iconic British bands in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 featuring music from both the Electric Light Orchestra and Fleetwood Mac. The addition of Queen would fit in perfectly among the rest of the acclaimed artists.
