While the battle that concluded the first film was incredibly fun, the sequel has its number once again.

The climax of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as the entire third act for that matter, was executed perfectly. And no, that is not hyperbole, the film's climax was absolutely perfect. It was action-packed, it was tense, it was dramatic, it was hilarious, and it was utterly gut-wrenching. All of these factors worked together to create everything that the climax to a Guardians movie should be and so much more.

It keeps you enthralled and on the edge of your seat as your brain works overtime to figure out how everything will be resolved. Vol. 2 is an absolutely great film, and everything that took place throughout its runtime was truly building up to this definitive climax. This entire scene was the perfect storm if ever there was one.

There's ending on a high note, and then there's constructing a grand finale so flawless that it will keep the audience entertained while several complex emotions run through their heads as they sit there in absolute awe, simply taking it all in. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 achieved the latter.
