Did Marvel just confirm an epic fan theory?
Even though Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most standalone movies, that didn't stop it from leaving fans with a plethora of nagging, unanswered questions.
With its dangling plot threads and subtle nods to future MCU movies, the Guardians' second outing has already sparked much debate about the implications it might have for the next few movies on Marvel's slate. There's even some suggestion in there of a brand new spin-off (around the Stallone cameo) that would be an intriguing addition, but that's far from the only open question.
Are dead characters really dead? What do all those cameos mean? And did Marvel kinda-sorta just confirm the most prevalent MCU fan theory to date? These questions and more will remain unresolved for a while, but some educated guesswork just might figure them out regardless.
