2. Teenage Groot

The best moment of the entire Easter Egg-stuffed credits sequence comes with the revelation that Groot has grown up since the culmination of their encounter with Ego. And rather than jumping to him being full-sized like in the first film, we get a flash of the intermediary stage, when he's a teenager.

He's surly, he plays video games endlessly and he doesn't pull his weight around the Milano (which appears out of nowhere after being abandoned on Berhert). It's a genius little moment, and the crowning, weird part of it all is that there's a masturbation joke cunningly hidden in there. When Peter complains about his "vines" being strewn all over the ship, he's not actually talking about Groot's extendable arms and legs.

Oh God, how I wish we could see a whole movie of the surly, smelly Groot not doing as he's told.
