As soon as Nebula and Gamora are reunited, it's inevitable that they're going to throw-down at some point during Vol 2, and James Gunn obliged with an all-action set-piece that saw the blue sister basically trying to drop a spaceship on her sibling.

That sequence, which is framed around the idea that Thanos played them off against one another, feels a hell of a lot like a North By Northwest homage too as Gamora dodges bullets running across open ground.

At the end of the movie, Nebula sets up some of the events of Infinity War, saying she's going to try and take out Thanos immediately, rather than staying to be a Guardian. That's about all we get of mentions of him in the film.
