The advantage of The Sovereign being cowards who send video game-like drones into battle is that even in defeat they're never actually killed off.

That means that we could potentially see more of the superior-than-thou elite race in the freshly announced Vol 3, because there's absolutely no way Ayesha is going to let go of her burning desire to destroy the Guardians for their slight against her people.

Sure, she might not have the backing of her Council (since they're pissed at her for burning through resources), but her post-credits scene confirms that she's not letting the issue lie. And she has her own new weapon to throw into the mix for her reappearance too...
