Gwyneth Paltrow: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Donna Jensen - View From The Top

Things really didn't go all that well for Paltrow following winning the Best Actress Oscar for Shakespeare In Love (a good performance, although not one remarkable enough to make the Awesome half of the list), with her eventually taking roles just for the money (something she's freely admitted). Shallow Hal was one of the lazy choices, but more egregious is View From The Top, an all round terrible film that serves as a constant reminder just how low Paltrow can go. The film bombed hard and has been all-but disowned by those who made it - Paltrow herself labelled it terrible and it has only had a half-hearted DVD release (with no Blu-Ray forthcoming), which suggests even the distributors don't want to acknowledge it. Dense Donna's attempts to be a great flight attendant (there's some problems more fundamental than just the acting) give Paltrow the opportunity for lots of gurning and shocked faces, but what's really shocking is how the more serious beats come across so thoughtless. What films were missed? What's your favourite Paltrow performance? Have your say down in the comments.
