Halloween: 8 Things We Need In The Next Film

3. The Strode Women

One of the strongest aspects of Halloween 2018 is the way in which it roots its story in the dynamic of the Strode women.

Laurie, Karen, and Allyson start the film as divided generations of women but ultimately come together across the course of the film as they address their traumas together and ultimately defeat the bogeyman. Between Jamie Lee Curtis' Oscar-worthy return to the role of Laurie Strode, Judy Greer bringing her ever under-appreciated talents to the role of Karen, and Andi Matichak absolutely killing it as Allyson, these characters come alive in a way that hardly any horror movie protagonists get the chance to.

They are uniquely compelling, and it would be idiotic to not bring each and every one of them back for the next film. The inter-character relationships established here are rock-solid and could more than support several films' worth of more exploring, especially given the way that Halloween 2018 ends.

Thankfully, this sounds like it just may actually happen, as even Jamie Lee Curtis recently said:

"If David Gordon Green called me up and said, 'Let's do another Halloween,' I would do another Halloween, because he did such a beautiful job."

All of the pieces are falling into place Blumhouse - make this happen.
