1. It Gives The Laurie-Michael Saga A Definitive Ending

Again, no spoilers here, but if you were concerned that Halloween Ends was nothing more than a marketing gimmick that would cop-out on the promises of its title, fear not.

While Universal probably won't wait too long to reboot the franchise, this iteration of the story - that is, the Laurie-Michael saga - feels pretty definitively concluded by the end of this movie.

Green clearly wanted to wrap things up in a concrete way that assured fans it was all done and dusted, and to that end he basically succeeded.

Fans may have mixed feelings about precisely how Green gets to that ending, but there's almost no room for doubt that John Carpenter's original narrative throughline has been totally tied off, and thank God.
