8. The Exorcist: Believer
The House:
It begins in Haiti "where an innocent purchase of a strange folk doll with three eyes leads to the opening of a demonic portal". Back in the USA two young girls vanish, only to return later with no memory of what happened to them. The trouble is, it does not seem they came back alone.
The Hype:
The "Discover Universal Podcast" has shared some details of this house including to expect plenty of grossness alongside some creepy characters.
A sequel to 1973 movie, The Exorcist: Believer continues the story. With the movie set to be released on Friday 13th October, the house based on it will be open over a month before the film comes out.
The maze was described as a "living trailer" of the movie on the "Discover Universal Podcast", but we fear it may have difficult challenge ahead to engage guests without it revealing too much of the film. We hope that this house is up to the task, but with cautious optimism The Exorcist: Believer comes in at number 8 on the hype list.
