Halloween Kills: 10 Biggest WTF Moments

Much like its predecessor, Halloween Kills is bursting at the seams with references and call-backs to other films in the franchise. Even those that have since been retconned.

And whilst we're never going to scoff at a reference to the much-loved Halloween II - even if it does have to be that gruesome razor blade in the mouth subplot - this one feels a little bit difficult to stomach.

The latest residents of the Myers house, the insanely lovable Big John and Little John, answer their door to a young girl in a Halloween outfit. She tells them that her friend has eaten a piece of candy from their house and that it had a razor blade inside it. We then see said friend on the floor, and beside her is a large pool of blood and vomit, with a razor blade amongst the stomach contents.

Thankfully, it's revealed to be an elaborate prank, designed to distract Big John and Little John whilst another teenager steals all of their candy. We understand that Halloween is a night of both tricks and treats, but convincing someone that a child has died by swallowing a razor blade is pretty hardcore all things considered.
