Halloween Kills: 10 Biggest WTF Moments

6. Loomis But Not Quite

Halloween Kills Michael Myers

It's always a little awkward and creepy when actors who have long since passed-away appear in modern films. A lot of the time, this is achieved through using a body double and adding in a face using computer graphics, which to many can come across as unnerving.

So you can imagine the collective horror when it was revealed that Doctor Loomis would be making a brief appearance in the film. Thankfully though, Halloween Kills has the decency to go down the more respectful route by casting a lookalike actor and using prosthetics to fill in the gaps.

The end result is someone that resembles Loomis, but not quite. It also doesn't help that a different actor is used for the voice and it's certainly noticeable that it's somebody lip-syncing to another's words.

This minor quibble is forgivable as Donald Pleasance is truly irreplaceable, and finding someone who not only looks like him but can also replicate his unique gravelly tones would be a herculean task for the filmmakers.

Whilst the flashback scene itself is expertly put together, the almost uncanny look of Loomis, coupled with Michael showing no evidence of any gunshots from the first movie is very distracting.
