Halloween Kills: 10 Biggest WTF Moments

4. That Lighting Tube Kill

Halloween Kills Michael Myers
Universal Pictures

As you'd expect from any film with the word 'kills' in its title, Halloween Kills does not mess around when it comes to filling the screen with all manner of carnage and bloodshed.

And whilst there's certainly no shortage of gloriously gruesome kills throughout, there's one death scene, in particular, that stands out as being especially sadistic.

After escaping the fiery remains of the Strode house, Michael is quick to make his way back into Haddonfield, but not before paying a visit to the nearby home of Phil and Sondra. Upon sneaking inside, Michael makes short work of Phil before turning his attentions to Sondra. He proceeds to rip a lighting tube from its fixture, break it in half and then shove it into her throat.

What makes this kill so disturbing is just how long we linger on Sondra's suffering, watching from behind our fingers as Michael twists the tube further and further, staring into her in the eyes as she chokes on her own blood.

To make matters worse, Sondra's last few moments on earth are spent watching Michael almost playfully insert numerous knives into Phil's lifeless corpse. It's a highly disturbing sequence that you'll be hard-pressed to forget.
