Halloween Kills: 10 Biggest WTF Moments
3. Michael Surviving the Mob
Numerous characters throughout the course of the franchise have referred to Michael as The Boogeyman. Some even going so far as to refer to him as the embodiment of pure evil, just in a humanoid shape.
The later sequels would heavily lean into this idea, making Michael an unstoppable force of nature that is seemingly impervious to bullets and any other form of mortal wounds. Halloween 2018 however kept it a little bit more vague in regards to Michael's supposed supernatural abilities.
He was certainly capable of withstanding an awful lot of damage, but he would react to pain and Laurie was able to slow him down somewhat during their encounter.
Halloween Kills however does away with any notion of Michael being remotely human, by having him take several gunshots and vicious attacks with blunt objects courtesy of the angry mob. Only for him to then get back to his feet and slaughter them all without breaking a sweat. Confirming without question that Michael is something other than human.
Michael's massacre is intercut with Laurie telling Hawkins that she believes Michael's power is born of violence and fear, stating that the more he kills the more he transcends and becomes something entirely different.
