Halloween Kills Ending Explained - What's Next For Michael Myers?

9. The Body Count

Halloween Kills Michael Myers

There's no getting away from the fact that certain facets of Halloween Kills have hugely split opinion amongst franchise fans, but one thing that is not up for debate is the intense body count of this latest Halloween offering.

Coming as no surprise to those who've already watched Kills, this second of David Gordon Green's Halloween trilogy has set a new record for the most deaths ever in a single Halloween picture. By the time all is said and done with this film, Michael Myers has murdered (or implied to have murdered) a total of 25 people.

Previously, many moviegoers had been left in shock at the 20 dead bodies amassed by Michael in Rob Zombie's Halloween. In hindsight, those 20 corpses look like a mere bloody drop in the ocean when compared to the amount of deaths in Halloween Kills.

Away from Zombie's do-over of the property, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers likewise has The Shape offing 20 poor fools, while the Myers-less Halloween III: Season of the Witch saw 22 deaths as Tom Atkins' Don Challis and Stacey Nelkin's Ellie Grimbridge found themselves butting heads with Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy) and his nefarious Silver Shamrock scheme.
