Halloween Kills Ending Explained - What's Next For Michael Myers?

8. The Returning Faces

Halloween Kills Michael Myers
Universal Pictures

For long-time Halloween fans, one of the most intriguing elements of Halloween Kills was that it was bringing back several actors and characters from John Carpenter's 1978 original picture.

As the film was being put together, many were left with a smile on their face at the news that Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens and Kyle Richards were reprising their respective roles as one-time sheriff Leigh Brackett, Sam Loomis' assistant Marion Chambers, and a Lindsey Wallace who was one of the youngsters tormented by Michael Myers on the night he came home.

In addition to this, the Tommy Doyle character (here played by Anthony Michael Hall) was returning to the fold, with Tommy another who was terrorised with Lindsey back in that first Halloween, before Doyle would resurface - as played by Paul Rudd - in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

Unfortunately for these returning franchise faves, three of the four of them ended up dead in Halloween Kills, with the only survivor of the four being a barely alive Lindsey. Similarly, a return for the Lonnie Elam character seen bullying Tommy in the original Halloween didn't end well - with Robert Longstreet's adult Lonnie murdered by The Shape, and his son Cameron soon also meeting a grim, neck-breaking end.
