Harry Potter: 10 Heroic Acts Committed By Slytherins

None of the recent Fantastic Beasts movies have captured the magic of the original series. Unfortunately, the interesting characters are overshadowed by storylines that are either dull or overly complex.

However, one of the better aspects of The Crimes of Grindelwald was the introduction of Leta Lestrange. Her time at Hogwarts was shown via several flashback sequences, and unlike most Slytherins, she developed a close friendship with a Hufflepuff student – Newt Scamander.

Yet Leta’s ultimate act of heroism came during the finale of the film when she gave her life so that Newt and his brother Theseus (Leta’s fiancée) could escape from Grindelwald. Such a courageous act wouldn’t be a surprising move from a Gryffindor, but it’s rare for a member of Slytherin to be so selfless in the face of danger.
