Harry Potter: 10 Most Powerful Gryffindor Students Ranked
3. Harry Potter
Harry Potter was one of those rare students at Hogwarts that the Sorting Hat could have put in any of the four houses, and been completely justified in its decision. However, thanks to Ron and Hagrid's influence, Harry was desperate to be in Gryffindor, and the Hat obliged.
He was the Chosen One, and destined to be special before he even knew that he was magical. Not only did he ultimately defeat the Dark Lord, he became the master of death thanks to his possession of the Deathly Hallows.
In terms of his academic life, he was a standout student, could produce a perfect Patronus, and even taught his own class Defence Against the Dark Arts when Professor Umbridge wouldn't. It almost seems as though there was very little Harry couldn't do.
In spite of all this however, Harry wouldn't have gotten very far without a LOT of help from those around him. Of the seven Horcruxes, he destroyed only one, and that was a coincidence as he didn't actually know what he was doing at the time, and without a certain witch, he would never have even made it to the end of his first year...
