Harry Potter: Every Wizarding World Movie Ranked Worst To Best
3. Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire
After the darkness of The Prisoner Of Azkaban, Warner Bros shifted up a notch with a far grander story, starting with a bang at the Quidditch World Cup and escalating as Harry faces the Tri-Wizard tasks with increasing difficulty. This film also saw the introduction of beloved, cantakerous figure Mad-Eye Moody, who was easily one of the best new characters added so far.
The Good
Both Brendan Gleeson and David Tennant are brilliant, and the emotional punch at the end of Cedric Diggory's death rang very true (mostly because of his father's horrible reaction). And there's a far greater concern and portrayal here of growing teenage issues like burgeoning romance, awkwardness and hormones, which adds a great new element.
And though he is often overlooked, Tennant's Barty Crouch is one of the finest sub-villains in the entire series.
The Bad
Michael Gambon's performance as Dumbledore is a little too rough (most notoriously his delivery of the "Harry did you put your name in the Goblet Of FIYAH" line). And the TriWizard finale is a little under-whelming compared with what comes before.
