Harry Potter New TV Show: 25 Castings That Must Happen
2. Adam Driver As Snape
It's hard to imagine anyone other than the late, great Alan Rickman as Professor Severus Snape, who's a strong contender for the very best character in the whole series. But it's likely that Adam Driver would be a phenomenal Snape too.
A charismatic performer who's brilliant at subtly conveying emotion, Driver would be aptly suited to the most complex character in the series. He also really looks the part, and right now he's closer to the character's book age than Alan Rickman was during the films.
Yes, Driver is American, but he did a solid European accent in Martin Scorsese's Silence, and he's the perfect choice right now to play one of JK Rowling's finest creations.
