Located in the unplottable Room of Requirement, the members of Dumbledore's Army didn't just come from Gryffindor. Students from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff joined in the secret defensive class, breaking the rules that Professor Umbridge had set up against any kind of gathering and club.
Harry it turns out had a talent for teaching. Helping the members master some tricky magic, including the Patronus charm. Neville Longbottom, a student notoriously nervous using his wand was even able to cast so many successful spells. He even took over as Leader when Harry left in search of Horcruxes.
