Harry Potter: Ranking Every Hogwarts Teacher From Worst To Best

Without question, Professor Umbridge is the best Harry Potter villain. It’s so easy to detest everything about her. Her annoying mannerisms, her loyalty to the corrupt Ministry, and her sadistic punishments make her an unforgettable antagonist.

At the start of Harry’s fifth year, she informs the class they’re not going to perform any magic. Instead, they have to sit and read the textbook for an entire year. This is enough to make anyone lose patience with her, but if you step out of line, you’ll be in detention and made to write in your own blood.

Umbridge’s lust for power leads to her obtaining the position of High Inquisitor. And shortly after sacking Trelawney, she becomes Headmistress of Hogwarts when Dumbledore is forced to flee.

Thanks to the actions of Peeves and the Weasley twins, her time as Headmistress is a complete disaster. Best of all, she ends her career by being dragged through the forest by a horde of centaurs.
