Harry Potter: Ranking Every Hogwarts Teacher From Worst To Best
12. Filius Flitwick (Charms)
As well as teaching Charms, Professor Flitwick is the head of Ravenclaw House. Like Professor Sprout, his lessons are always fun. Rather than focusing on magical theory, Flitwick’s classes involve lots of practical magic.
This isn’t surprising given Flitwick’s backstory. As a young man, he was a duelling champion with a formidable reputation. And this love of spellcasting carried through to his teaching methods. Indeed, Flitwick’s lessons are so chaotic that Harry, Ron, and Hermione know they aren’t going to be overheard whenever they’re discussing something important.
Like the Herbology teacher, however, Flitwick doesn’t have much to do outside of Harry’s lessons. He uses his considerable talents during several key moments (such as the Battle of Hogwarts), but aside from that, he’s another teacher without much substance.
