Hobbs & Shaw Trailer Reaction: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. What About Vanessa Kirby?

Vanessa Kirby will appear in Hobbs & Shaw as Deckard Shaw's (Jason Statham) sister Hattie, and though Kirby is featured extensively throughout the trailer, almost zero context is given to the nature of her role.

It feels as though Kirby was simply put in the trailer to give it the faintest feminine zing, even though she barely says anything substantial, doesn't even introduce herself and casual audiences won't have a clue what she's doing in the film.

The trailer does at least confirm that she is in fact an MI6 agent, as we see her acting in an official capacity before she gets roped into the titular duo's quest to save the world.

She sure looks like she'll be a fun foil for the two testosterone-fuelled gents, and she was superb in her small role in Mission: Impossible - Fallout last year, but hopefully the second trailer might lend her a little more shade.

These gripes aside, Hobbs & Shaw mostly looks awesome, and here's everything the trailer got right...
