Home Alone 1 And 2: 20 Easter Eggs, References & In-Jokes

16. John Hughes Snuck His Company Logo Into Home Alone 2

John Hughes had one of the best runs a comedy director has ever achieved (Ferris Bueller€™s Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Planes, Trains And Automobiles), and he was a prolific writer and producer of other hit movies too including Home Alone. The seed for the movie came to him during Uncle Buck, while he was directing a scene with Macaulay Culkin interrogating a babysitter through a mail slot; he then wrote a script with the young star in mind. In the sequel he managed to sneak his own personal stamp of approval into the scenery; towards the end of the movie when Kevin is looking at the Christmas tree outside Rockefeller Centre, the star at the top of the tree in between the two illuminated windows forms the shape of his company logo.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
