17. Little Nero's Pizza Is A Parody Of A Real Brand
Pizza plays a surprisingly important part in Home Alone; an argument over cheese pizza is what gets Kevin grounded in the first place, and a delivery later in the story gives Kevin a chance to torment a poor delivery boy - who kind of deserves it for knocking over that stature every time he delivers. The name of the company delivering the pizza is Little Neros, which is a spoof of famous chain Little Caesars; a joke that's probably lost on anyone outside America. This was likely done to save costs on licensing, but Little Neros briefly came to life to celebrate Home Alone's 25th anniversary in 2015. Anyone ordering from them on that date got a downloadable code for the film to go along with the pizza; frightening the delivery boy with audio from an old gangster movie was optional.
